NEW FILM TRAILER: Trouble with the curve
Hollywood
legend Clint Eastwood has returned with his new Sport themed film “Trouble with
the curve”. Eastwood has hidden away from the cameras since “Gran Torino” hit
our screens in 2008, but is back with a bang in this heart warming, real
American film.
The film
follows Baseball scout Gus Lobel (Eastwood) battling with old age and the
broken relationship with his only daughter Mickey (Amy Adams). Gus takes his
daughter along with him for one final recruiting trip, and gets more than he bargained
for as uncomfortable home truths and secrets are exposed, as he must choose
between his love for Mickey or the game.
Supporting
cast includes famous faces such as actor John Goodman, and singer Justin
Timberlake, playing a love interest for Mickey.
This film is
the first in almost 20 years that Eastwood has not directed and acted in, as
his long time friend and producing partner Robert Lorenz has taken the lead
role as Director this time.
“Trouble
with the curve” will hit the US Box offices on September 21st, a
week ahead of the Major league baseball playoffs. The film will find its way to
the UK on November 30th, and rumours are already circulating that
Eastwood could be in line to receive yet another Oscar nomination for his performance.
